Cost-Free Maintenance at the House

To operate our not-for-profit, 10 bedroom House and assist those families who so desperately need our services, the Omaha Ronald McDonald House depends on generous community support in the form of individual funds, corporate sources and the generosity of volunteers to operate the House. If you're a businessperson who believes in the mission of the Omaha Ronald McDonald House, but don't have time to volunteer, there's another important way you can help.

You can provide "services-in-kind." A number of businesses have already signed up to join "Team Ronald". The group is a collaboration of local business people who are dedicated to the upkeep and maintenance of the House by donation of their services. These contributors donate services such as grounds maintenance, House upkeep and equipment service. You too can help maintain "The House that love built".

Steve Nabity of the Ronald McDonald House board says it best: "That way we can provide a loving environment instead of fretting about the plumbing or some other problem."

If you have a service you can donate, please contact Lori Eden by phone at 402-346-9377 X 11 or via e-mail. Our special needs right now are house cleaning, carpet cleaning, furnace-air conditioner maintenance, a locksmith, individuals or businesses to adopt the utilities. 

Other Ways You Can Help

Donations:
Contributions to the House are greatly appreciated.

Fundraisers:
Sponsor an event and donate the proceeds to the House.

Memorials or Special Occasions:
Your gift may be made in memory of a loved one who has passed away. We acknowledge each memorial with a special note to the bereaved family, letting them know of the donor's kindness. We also appreciate donations in honor of someone's birthday or anniversary, as well as gifts honoring a special friend. As with memorials, an acknowledgment is sent.

Wills and Trusts:
The Ronald McDonald House is eligible to be the beneficiary of wills, deferred gifts, or life insurance and is not subject to estate taxes.

Matching Gifts:
Some businesses and corporations will match dollar for dollar the donation of their employee to the charity of the employee's choice. This is an easy way to double your donation to us. Please check to see if your employer participates in a "Matching Gift Program."

If your group is interested in a speaker from the Ronald McDonald House in Omaha, please call Pamela Winters at (402) 346-9377 X 11. The story of "The House That Love Built" is something we would like to share with you!

Notice to Fund-Raiser:
Organizations who solicit funds on our behalf are greatly appreciated, however, it is necessary to follow certain criteria. Therefore, organizations soliciting funds on our behalf should contact Pamela Winters at (402) 346-9377 X 11.
