Our mission is to provide a “home away from home” for families that come to the Omaha area seeking medical care for their children. By providing them with a temporary home, we want families to focus on what is truly important: Helping their children get better.

Our families come from throughout the United States and the world. Each family has its own story to tell. Many families return to the House when their children require follow-up care. They’re always welcome when they do.

Families that want to stay at the Omaha Ronald McDonald House should know:

• Most of our referrals come from hospital staff and social workers. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

• We charge $7.50 per night for room and board. 

• The Ronald McDonald House is situated on the eastern edge of the University of Nebraska Medical Center campus. Click here for a map.

• Families that stay at the Ronald McDonald House are expected to follow all house policies.

• We do not discriminate based on race, religion, ethnic background or ability to pay.
