Celebrating 10 Years of Service
September 26 was a day to say thank you. It was a day to show appreciation for the many people who helped make the Ronald McDonald House possible.
The Ronald McDonald House celebrated its 10th anniversary with a carnival and the dedication of its new playhouse. Special thanks was given to Tony Diez and Keith Swarts, co-founders of the Omaha Ronald McDonald House.
“The Ronald McDonald House is able to help families with sick children because of the devotion and dedication of so many people,” said Kevin Warneke, executive director. “We owe them our thanks.
“We owe special thanks to Tony and Keith. Because of their efforts we’ve been able to help nearly 1,000 families during the past 10 years.”
The playhouse, which is situated in the backyard, was a community effort. Special recognition was given to Westside Community Schools, G. & S. Inc., Woodmen of the World, Builder’s Supply, Duffy Bros. Construction, J.R. Barger & Sons Concrete Construction, Yano’s Nursery and architect Brian Stokes for their assistance.
