A holiday CD, sold at local Dillard’s stores, will benefit families with sick children.
For the 11th-straight year, Dillard’s is selling a special holiday CD, with proceeds going to Ronald McDonald House Charities. The fund-raiser annually raises more than $200,000 for the worldwide charity. All CDs sold in this area will benefit the Omaha Ronald McDonald House.
“Because of Dillard’s generosity, we all can enjoy a special CD that includes great holiday songs,” said Kevin Warneke, executive director of Ronald McDonald House Charities in Omaha. “The best part is that by purchasing this CD, families with sick children will benefit.”
The CD, which sells for $7 and will be available through Dec. 24 at Dillard’s, features these songs: “Man With The Bag,” by Lee Ann Womack; “Sleigh Ride,” by Ella Fitzgerald; “All I Want For Christmas,” by Toby Keith; “I Saw Mommy Kissin’ Santa Claus,” by Reba McEntire; “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town,” by Bing Crosby; “Winter Wonderland,” by Amy Grant; “Boogie Woogie Santa Claus,” by Lionel Hampton; “Jingle Bell Rock,” by George Strait; “The Christmas Song,” by Aaron Neville; and “Christmas Medley,” by Donna Summer.
The Ronald McDonald House provides a temporary home for families that bring their sick children to the Omaha area for hospital care. Since 1994, the Omaha house has served more than 950 different families from 44 states and seven countries.
