Putt for the Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House Fun Day at Boulder Creek, which is scheduled for Saturday, June 5, will include miniature golf, family entertainment and a tournament.

The day includes two parts:

--Boulder Creek Amusement Center, situated near 144th and Q streets, will donate $1 for every round of miniature golf played from 9.a.m. to 9 p.m. that day. Those who match that donation will receive a coupon for a free round of miniature golf. Bag a hole in one on select holes, and receive a prize. Hole sponsors are McDonald’s, Omaha Steaks, Cricket Communications, Dairy Queen, Pepsi and the new Village Pointe Theatres. Family entertainment, including mimes, clowns and jugglers, is scheduled throughout the day. McDonald’s characters also will appear.

--The third annual Ronald McDonald House Miniature Golf Tournament will be held the same day at Boulder Creek. Two-person teams will play 27 holes of qualifying miniature golf from 9 a.m. to noon. The top four teams will advance to the afternoon finals, where they will play another 18 holes of miniature golf. The top four teams will receive prizes and trophies. The winning team also will share a pair of tickets on Southwest Airlines. Cost is $70 per team. Each participant will receive lunch and a tournament T-shirt.
